Particle decay of Be excited states

چکیده
The breakup of E/A=50 MeV Be fragments following inelastic scattering off of hydrogen and carbon target nuclei has been studied. The breakup channels α+He, He+He, t+Li , and p+Li were observed. Two doublets at excitation energies of 12.8 and 15.5 MeV were found for the α+He channel. A low-energy shoulder in the excitation-energy spectra at 10.2 MeV indicates additional states. Peaks at 13.5 and 14.5 MeV were found for the He+He decay. This work did not confirm most of the helium breakup states reported by Freer et al. [Phys. Rev C 63, 034301 (2001)]. Only the two He-He peaks were consistent. Significant structure is observed in the excitation-energy spectra for p+Li at 25-30 MeV.

Ultrafast Luminescence Decay in Rhenium(I) Complexes with Imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-Phenanthroline Ligands: TDDFT Method
The interpretation of the ultrafast luminescence decay in [Re(Br(CO)3(N^N)] complexes as a new group of chromophoric imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthroline ligands, including 1,2-dimethoxy benzene, tert-butyl benzene (L4) and 1,2,3-trimethoxy benzene, tert-butyl benzene (L6), was studied. Fac-[Re(Br(CO)3L4 and L6] with different aryl groups were calculated in singlet and triplet excited states. The...
متن کاملExcited States of Elementary Particle and the Quantization of Elementary Particles
If this is the case, the two VO-particles which decay according to (I)' and (2)' turn out to be the same kind of particles. We assume that the latter possibility is right and further we propose a possible model in which a VO-particle is nothing but an excited state of a 1zucleon, Tllis excited state, we assume, is a consequence if a new kind if quantization oj a n.ucleon which is surrounded by ...

Resonance-decay spectroscopy is used to study particle-unbound excited states produced in interactions of E/A = 10.7 MeV 10C on Be and C targets. After inelastic scattering, structures associated with excited states in 10C were observed at 5.22, 5.29, 6.55, 6.56, 6.57, and 8.4 MeV which decay into the 2p + 2α final state. This final state is created via a number of different decay paths, which ...
متن کاملInvestigation of particle-unbound excited states in light nuclei with resonance-decay spectroscopy using a Be beam
Resonance-decay spectroscopy is used to study particle-unbound excited states produced in interactions of E/A=50 MeV Be on polyethylene and carbon targets. The particle-unbound states are produced in a variety of reaction mechanisms ranging from projectile fragmentation to proton-pickup. New proton-decaying excited states are observed in Li (E∗=14.1±0.1 MeV, Γ=207±49 keV) and Be (E∗=20.4±0.1 Me...
متن کاملα decay of the excited states in 12 C at 7 . 65 and 9 . 64 MeV
High-resolution triple-α coincidence data were used to reconstruct the decay of the excited states in 12C at 7.65 MeV (J π = 0+) and 9.64 MeV (J π = 3−). These data are consistent with the α-particle decay of both levels proceeding exclusively through Beg.s.. In the first of these cases, the Hoyle state, an upper limit of 0.45% (at the 99.75% confidence level) is set for a component producing t...
متن کاملFermi Liquid Theory: Principles
Landau developed the idea of quasiparticle excitations in the context of interacting Fermi systems. His theory is known as Fermi liquid theory. He introduced the idea phenomenologically, and later Abrikosov and Kalatnikov gave a formal derivation using diagrammatic perturbation theory to all orders. Landau suggested describing the excited states of the interacting system as in one-to-one corres...
